The metal detector part I can give some consideration to ... the way it claims to discriminate between metals pulls the serious skeptic out of me ... but claiming to have the ability to detect diamond o_O ??? c'mon!!! ... plus it also brags about having a working range of a thousand meters and a depth (sic: deepth) of 20m

And what's with the antenna and the couple of probes sticking out of that thing? ... shame on them...

I can assure you, I'm never going to buy that $195 dlls piece of crap ... but maybe I should write a review anyway...

All goes to show ya, P.T. Barnum was right: there's a sucker born every minute. Probably a whole bunch of 'em...

Yeah, I read about that case several years ago. It's incredible how they were able to get that far. And how the thing resurfaced again and again under different applications and brands.

You would think the armies purchasing the devives would have tested them before purchasing. Whoever bought them should have gotten 10 years.

I 100% believe it. After all, the Starship Enterprise can detect life 200 meters beneath the surface of a planet. Can even transport a person to a cavity deep beneath the surface. So why is this claim so hard to accept? Won't be long before we find out we've been traveling through time for many years now.

I got an extra laugh out of this particular bit of flim-flam:

As we discussed in our first update, conventional electrical heaters use metallic heating elements. Over time these heating elements begin to suffer from oxidation which reduces their efficiency over time.

When you heat a metallic heating element, you will see the element changes colour. This change in color is the effect of oxidation. This creates a Galvanic effect between the oxide and the heating element. This galvanic effect creates magnetic fields of various frequencies and the wire becomes less and less effective with each use, as it creates magnetic fields instead of heat.

So the effectiveness of a metallic heating element becomes less and less effective until it burns out, which you can see in any other electric radiator with metallic heating element.

The effects of these magnetic fields can be witnessed on a normal heater, where after turning it on, it will attract dust and small particles to it and will burn them. Normal heaters emit foul smells. Our heater doesn't attract such particles and hence doesn't emit foul smells, which is again due to the absence of a magnetic field.
Science education in our schools must be in a really sorry state if more than a tiny handful of people are susceptible to this kind of nonsense.

I'm afraid most normal people I know would fall into believing this kind of stuff simply because it's explained in such pseudo-technical terms that are a bit too complicated for them to truly understand.

I get a call from my mother about 2 or 3 times a year pointing these things out. She's still convinced that the air engine is worth investing in... Don't get her started on the over-unity generators!

Come to think of it, might as well keep the flim-flam in the family and I can tell her I'm the Director of Engineering for AirEngine <insert some paradigm inducing word here>, Inc. Just send me the cash!
