Hey guys,
Ive got a pair of Shure Se110's and the modular cable is damaged. If I was to get:

Could I make my own? If so how do I go about wiring the connectors up?

Hello,

The connector and contra-connector shall be correct.
Look afther the right size (6.3 mm , 3.5 mm or 2.5 mm)
The cable you need will be stereo cable.

Thanks the cables only twin core so I assume I connect the silver coloured cable thingy (sorry cant think of a better word) to ground ?

Yes , the shielding is ground , the other wires (red and white) are for the left and right signal.

Hi,
The parts came today. How do I tell which is left and which is right? Theres just three tabs. One is longer than the rest and I assume ground but the other two are next to each other. One is coloured gold if that helps.

Hello,

To see what is connected, you can take off the caps and put them together.
Now you can measure with a multmeter in resistance measurement what is near 0 ohm.
These parts are the signal path.
The shield should be connected to the long part in the plug.
You could also see a lot in the wiki page i gave you.
