Sounds like reroll of home basic or whatever os they were shipping with netbooks, the one I got with my Acer Aspire One had a limit of 2 GB of RAM.

Just enough that I've been able to run my business on Linux for the past 15 years.

 

What I am longing for is a Win7 version/upgrade for which I can own the license. Non-transferable. I am one "new version" away from jumping ship. That is, if need be, I will have 2 boxes. One for e-mail and browsing, and one for everything else.
