Hi all. I've bought Arduino Uno atmega328 Chinese board and downloaded it's drivers. When I connect it to my PC I go to control panel, system, device manager and go to other, it says Serial port USB 2.0 and not Arduino. When I click update drivers, I browse the file, I can't find anything called Arduino.inf, instead there is a zipped file called Arduino_old_drivers, I extract stuff and put them in a normal folder, delete the old one and give it the same name, click on the new folder, and it says windows can't find drivers. I hope you can help me solve this because it's not letting me go further in electronics

 

You need to no what chip it's using for USB to serial.

You more then likely have a CH340 usb to serial chip
you need this driver http://www.wch.cn/download/CH341SER_EXE.html

I use the free download PL2303 Prolific drivers for the Chinese USB/Arduino UNO, work OK.

PL2303 Prolific There are some with that chip too most now use the CH340 It's insanly cheap chip.
