Will the voltage be same here?

Hello. In the circuit below the 20V source and 14 ohm resistor are in parellel with each other. Will the voltage across 14 ohm resistor be 20V ? I am getting confused because of the resistor in between the two parallel connections.

How's this ?
A) Cheating
B) You forgot the current source on the right, so incorrect also. :p

To the OP: Are you supposed to use node or mesh analysis to solve this?

The voltage at the two points mentioned won't be the same, since there is a resistor between those two points.

The only time two points are at the same potential is when they are connected with only a wire.

****....
I figured it to be an ammeter. Was in a hurry though.

Now when u said it it was a current source.

Thanks for pointing it out. hope OP wasn't disappointing.

As it is the only unknown, it is fine.

We just need the OP to understand the equations to get those numbers.

As thatoneguy has already mentioned, the 20V source is not in parallel with the 14 ohm resistor because of the 1.5 ohm resistor inbetween them.
