Hey All,
I am working on controlling a entry gate to our facility and its in a kind of unorthadox way. I have a WiFi gate controller from a company called DoorKing. The way that their controller works is, when you toggle open or closed on the app (or the schedule programmed by the user commands open or closed), it just connects the two output leads via dry contacts. So no voltage output, just contacts connecting momentarly. The Gate opener control board knows the gate position and via board relays N.O. or N.C. and will control the signal.
In order for the gate to open and stay open during business hours (which is the end goal) I need constant 24v to the open control on the gate opener control board. I got a Latching relay to allow me to continuously supply the voltage that is needed. The problem is, that I need to be able to change the polarity on the WiFi controller contacts so that it will reset the latching relay and release the Voltage to allow the gate to revert back to its normal operation.
Does anyone have any idea how to reverse the polarity on a control like this?
