Who are you?

Hello!

I'm an electronics engineer that works in the oil industry in Brazil. I have a lot of interest in learning and sharing knowledge of math, physics and electronics. I am here mainly to satisfy curiosity and try to get a more natural understanding of the problems involved in the electronics world.

Hello,

Welcome to the AAC.
At least you are trying to use english, wich is good for your international connections.
As this is an international forum, a lot of members do not have english as thier native language.
My native language is Dutch.

Hello my name is Jonathan and I am currently enrolled in Wyotech studying to be a state certified electrician, I also have an interest in small electronics and I have been trying to get myself up-and-running with a repair business but most of the people I talk to don't ever get back to me, so I can actually do the repair for them. I'm not going to stop trying to Show someone who will take a chance and have me do there repair. I think that it is important to have money to buy the parts to make the repair work though. That's my major problem so far.

Hello,
I am a student studying Electronics and Communication Engineering in Nepal. I am interested in learning more about electronics everyday.

Hello
I'm a man who was a teenager in the- 70's, when love for music and diy audio was a great mix for us kids.
This winter, finally, after rotting for years in the sofa, I started listening to music again, and started to rebuild my music collection ( digitally, this time ).
I soon came to realize that I needed som audio equipment in my life.
At first I intended to buy, but while surfing AV- forums, I ended up reviving my old- school interest in loudspeaker construction.
( Did build a pair once, some 25 years ago, whith a lot of help in the electronics department..)
I then decided to build my own loudspeakers instead of buying them. Then I went on to designing my boxes, choosing and buying materials. Nowadays, I'm in the process of building.
Great fun, out of the sofa, and plenty of reasons for buying some tools!
Pretty soon, though, I realized I knew next to nothing about the fundamentals for crossover- design and construction.
After spending hours reading, repeatedly demoralized by audiophiles presenting crossover-construction as a mix of whitchcraft and rocket-science, I've come to realize that I WILL PREVAIL !
Today, I surfed into this forum which seems pretty comprehensive, and hopefully well suited for expanding my basic knowledge.
I'm at the point where I'm trying to gather the fractions of knowledge I've managed to pick up, and put together some circuitry for for a three- way system.
I'll soon need to make some decisions regarding filter types/- orders, possible need for attenutation, Zobel and notch- filters, and hope I can find konwledge and help in this forum to make more informed and better qualified choices before gathering bits and pieces ( RLC's- that is ).
If anyone takes an interest, I'll happily go into details. Would also be thankfull for directions to relevant threads/ topics. ( been reding a little on filter- stuff in textbook- and worksheet- sections here already ).
Well, if this is not who I am, it's a reason for being here.
And I'm looking forward to meeting the people here at aac!
..and a soldering station.

I hope I can help other people as they did with me and I hope to learn a lot of things, but the latter is sure!! :)

I AM ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING WITH A EXTERNAL IT DEGREE... My ambition to INVENT, DESIGN, REPAIR, DEVICES LIKE MOBILE PHONES, COMPUTERS WHICH ARE BASED ON ALL THREE FIELD OF ELECTRONICS, TELECOMMUNICATION AND IT

Well I'm just a little ole maintenance manager that's been fooling around with electronics and electricity since 1973. It started in High School with a electronics teacher and my best friends dad is an Electrical Contractor. Been working in production plants making bags and boxes for over twenty years dealing with AC/DC drives and PLC's. I'm also an Amateur radio operator that loves building and repairing repeaters. Plus I'm a tower dawg that installs and rebuilds radio towers and antennas up to 200 feet. I've always been interested in electronics and love building all kinds of circuits.
Plus I'm a Harley rider and I'm a member of the "Patriot Guard Riders"
