Hello everyone.

I'm a mature student pursuing a second career as an Electrical Engineering Technician at a co-op program at Georgian College (Barrie, Ontario, Canada). I'm in my first year, second semester, of a two year program, although I am considering taking an additional year for the Technologist program.

I look forward to interacting with you,

Kean

My Dad, Robert E. Fey, was a Battle of the Bulge survivor; in WW II. He graduated summa cum laude from Tiffin Columbian High School. The Japs bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec 7,1941; a 'Day That Will Live In Infamy!' Dad joined the Army soon after and was given a 'GS test', the army's equivalent of an IQ test. Dad scored "off the charts', so the Army told Dad he could stay 'State Side'..attend Heidleberg University in Tiffin, taking explosive chemistry and calculus and trigonometry so he could teach the P-51 Mustang and Corsair pilots. Dad could have written the text books..but he loved Harley Davidson motor-cycles..and pretty women. He flunked out of the course. The Army restricted him to barracks for two weeks, and dropped him down one pay grade. After the two weeks, the Army sent him out west to California, with the same purpose in mind. He rode for 3 days and 4 nights on a 'troop train.' You may imagine that the California gals were very pretty..and Huntington, Redondo, and San Luis Obispo BEACHES lured him to the pristine warm waters there in the Pacific Ocean.

I'm already frustrated. I am told that to create a new topic I need to "click the blue 'Post New Thread" button. That sounds simple, but how the heck do I find this blue button?

Hello Everyone, new to the forum. Studied Electronics at George Brown College 14 years ago, let it lapse, tinkered with guitar amplifiers on and off over the years. Currently looking to get into repairs and learning as much as I can about both solid state and tube amplifiers. It's great to learn from forums such as these as there is always something to learn and re-learn. Thanks for the opportunity.
