Thank you very much, and I do have a problem I need help solving, but I can't seem to start threads. Might it be because my post count is too small? You've come to the right place. Feel free to ask any questions, even if you feel they are silly or too simple.
Keep your thread title under 20 characters - there is a bug in the system - see the sticky regarding the issue...Thank you very much, and I do have a problem I need help solving, but I can't seem to start threads. Might it be because my post count is too small?
Welcome! By the way, I love your username!Hi there, everyone. I'm a techie and wordsmith, ex-pat American presently living in Germany. I was led to this forum by a link in the forum of Linear Circuits, currently under way at Coursera.org, although I've known of All About Circuits for some time. What a great resource this is.
My hands-on experience with electronics extends as far as rebuilding and refurbishing computing hardware (macs and pcs), and I've spent many an hour in research laboratories where I did some simple stuff with LabView. I once created a shower of sparks by shorting out some video hardware on an iMac I was working on with the display half-off. Was dich nicht umbringt, macht dich stärker.
Thanks for the welcome!Welcome! By the way, I love your username!![]()

Point taken. Electronics is not a very philosophical topic.Um...tiny problem...English only.
Sometimes we use different languages to make a joke, but in general, verwenden Sie Englisch.

Auftwickler
?..
I understood eisgang & ausgang to be input & output, and if I remember correctly, i saw the word auftwickler to describe a wire pay-off machine.Eisgang >> Eingang (input, entrance)
Auftwickler >> Entwickler (developer)
I suppose it should read "Aufwickler" - however, I never heard this term in german. Must be something specific in civil engineering?).i saw the word auftwickler to describe a wire pay-off machine.
