I've already been on the website for awhile but I may as well introduce myself! I'm lendo, a junior in high school, and a prospective computer engineer. I have learned so much on this website and on the E-book. Can't wait to get into digital!
oh-five-thirty coffee time?
Where in the world are do you live?
Actually, It would be helpful to us all if you update your user profile adding a location.
That makes it easier on us when talking news, and suppliers. As we can reccomend places local to you.
thanks .
heh ... so much for setting those items at/in the sign-up page .
i am in northern minnesnowta .
i moved here a few years back ... why is another question entirely (involving a questionable degree of sanity and rational) .
i am an early riser ... between the army and the BE stuff it does/did tend to roll ones sleep schedule to some odd hours .
Actually SgtWookie, our national treasure and all around good guy, is retired marine. He, sometimes, likes to destroy my keyboards with iced-tea.
He is a very straightforward, very intelligent, good guy, but every so often, he comes out with a joke that causes me to spit my drink all over my keyboard. He owes me 2 as of today.
There are many other very smart folks here. Bill_Marsden is our resident 555 and LED guru. He has a blog that has lots of good information and projects. Our moderators hgmjr, Bertus, beenthere, and Im missing a few.. are great. And I am awesome.
Enjoy your stay at club AAC.
here is a link to the bill_marsden blog: Bill's Index
He once hooked a 555 up wrong and was hit in the face for it...There is a picture of it on his blog. So after that, he RARELY makes mistakes (The black-eye story is a lie. He was a little to slow during karate practice/sparring)
Hi everybody! My name is George, I 'm greek and I study Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (that's right, all that in a single university, in the same department!). Greek colleges tend to lean too much on theory, so I 'll help as much as I can on the Homework Help section, except from physics questions, wich I hate and try to avoid as much as I can.
I' m past my 80th post, but I just bumped onto this thread and thought it was a good idea to drop by and say hello.
Keep up the good work everybody!
Just joined and thought i should say hi. Just graduated from University of Ottawa and working as an Electrical Engineer. Also, i realized after studying for 4 years i know nothing... is there a club for this.
Origins of Tubelite: I'm slow... like in the brain so friends started calling me tubelite... takes time for me to turn on. Also, i heard back before i was even born they called EE, tubelites (probably not for the same reason the friends call me tubelite).
what i'm looking for: knowledge and experience with a ton of fun.
Whats my real name... tubelite... whatelse would it be.... sheesh.
hi i'm studying electronic engineering and communications in ireland, going into my third year. Great site, alot of really helpful people on board. my hope is that as i get more experience i can give a little back!
keep up the good work!!
I'm an Electrical Engineering student from Canada. My program doesn't cover digital stuff very well, but I've always been fascinated by computers and such. I'm looking at working with PLCs and robotics, and dealing with the automation side of things, but I really like the idea of designing my own circuits, working with microcrontrollers and all that sort of thing.
i am reading all these posts and i am new to electronics. anyone ever hear of george brown college? they offer a certificate in electronics. it is all online. seems like a good course for getting foot in the door as a bench tech or something along those lines. i am 38 years old and want to start a career in this field. im no engineer like you all, or have the time to go to a 4 or more year school. i hope i can learn from you all. it will be fun and rewarding. nice to meet you all.
