Really surprised at the good performance out of PIC24F. Microchip should have invested more in marketing that little tiger.

 

It would be a good idea to include MCUs with built-in FPU such as PIC32MZ. This would make a huge difference for Whetstone.

Yes, PIC24 are extremely good, even though XC16 compiler doesn't really take the full advantage of the architecture.
