The teacher is the one on the floor with his eager assistant Igor in an inertia, energy transfer/conservation demonstration.
It was very effective, the small chip from the edge of the block slowed the axe very little and left most of the energy to be transferred into his nether regions on the first swing.

Seriously, from a safety standpoint, there are *so* many things that could have gone wrong.

And, for many of them, that face shield would have been useless.

 

That may be the stupidest thing I've seen done by sober adults.
