Hello all,

I am looking to identify a component with VC and another with CGK marking.
Their packages look similar and all look to be either SOT-353-1, SOT-25, or SSOP-5?




Can someone please help me identify these components and tell me the difference between the mentioned packages?

SOT are generally transistors and diodes.

 

The key differences are the pin spacing and the number of pins.
SOT-353-1 and TSSOP-5 pin spacing is 0.65mm.
SOT-25 and SSOP-5 pin spacing is 0.95mm.

I was able to identify the component with the marking 'VC'. It is a logic gate (MC74VHC1GT14) from onsemi and its package is called SC-74A.

Exactly! I have just found 5 or 6 packages that look the same SOT-353-1, SOT-25, SSOP-5, SC-74A, SC-70-5l, SC-70-5.
Someone might say look at dimensions and pitch .. but in my case, these parts that I am trying to identify are already soldered and located in not-so-roomy places which makes identifying these packages just by looking at them seem impossible XD.
