Where did you get "Bug Zapper" from?

i was just trying to be funny about photos... they need more light.

 

Try taking a photo of the resistor on a white sheet of paper using a white light source.

 

The resistor was getting very hot when it was attached to the board.

By theory a zero-ohm resistor cannot get hot.
In reality a very hot resistor loses its colors.

 

... the PS is not working it is for halogen lighting source for my microscope...

Why is the make and model of the microscope such as secret?

 

Many folks have already stated what I also think, which is that some excessively high heat damaged the color bands. I have seen that before, so I know that with some brands of resistors it has happened, because I have seen it. The other thing that is also clear is that the bands are still different colors.
OF COURSE, THE BLUE LIGHT DOES NOT HELP AT ALL!! To be more pointed about it, the blue filter gives me the impression of an effort to confuse us.
