Hi again I am hooking up a camera backup system

Camera= 12v 250ma
Backup sensor=12v 80 to 300ma
Rear view mirror LCD= 12v 1.5amps

When I hook the backup sensor to the reverse lights it is going on and off I think this is because I have a light control module interrupting the flow

So what is needed so that I can run all this when I start the car and throw it in reverse Please thank you

Then you need to trace the origin of the problem with a meter to discover where the loss of power, or other occurs.
Max.
It's in a 2013 dodge charger I hooked a backup sensor to the reverse lights which draws 80 to 300ma if I leave the light in and the backup sensor tied up the reverse lights the module goes wacko it keeps beeping and says error (e 1)

But as soon as I remove the light bulb from the circuit and just run the backup sensor module it works fine

So wouldn't me putting in a relay seperate the circuit and make this all work ?

80 to 300ma for reversing lights?
The typical is a pair of P21W which is 3.5amps?
What type of lamp is in there?
Max.
80 to 300ma for a reverse backup sensor system there (4 sensors) operated by a control module that gets power off a 12v source

They tap in the 12v source of your reverse lights on your car

So if these are typical lamps P21W etc then I see no reason why these would not also support 300ma?
Show the hook-up diagram.

Ok let's start over I apologize but we're not on the same page

This system that I am hooking up is aftermarket

If I just leave everything unplugged nothing plugged in

The reverse lights work just like there suppose to

When I solder in of crimp in my aftermarket backup sensors + and - to the oem reverse lighting system in the back of my car it makes my aftermarket backup sensor system beep uncontrollably with a e1 error

Nothing else happens the lights work still the same I am not having issues with my lights

I am having issues with a aftermarket backup sensor system again I am sorry I do struggle sometimes with communication thank you

If you connect your back up sensor to the 12V battery directly, does it work ok then?

If yes then it sounds like you need to power it from a separate 12V feed, fed from a slave relay that is powered from your reverse lights, like a Caravan repeater.

Relay...

Well actually what I did was unplug the light bulb on the passenger side and tried it out and the error was gone and it worked

But as soon as I put back the lightbulb it messed up again

So.......? Relay ?

You haven't got something wired up in series by mistake maybe?
Max.
No sir all I've done was just put + into + oem harness to - to -

Which it's weird I have the exact same setup on my f150 it's older though and it works flawlessly

And I have heard before that the newer cars are starting to adapt to (lighting control modules)

How would I go about wiring a relay to the passenger side reverse light to power a load meaning the backup sensor?

85,86 from reverse light then 30 going in
Then 87 to load

????

Yes if your using the bulb wiring for the light.

We had these installed on 8 work vans there the same way most all newer cars are that tell you that a bulb is out.

But the wire to the bulb can't be used because of this you need to find the plug where you add the trailer kit that point is above where the car checks for problems. But some even that is not true You have to use a kit that don't load the bulb wiring.

That's what you said you was hooking up.

Your trying to use the bulb wiring on a 2013 charger That's not going to work without a kit like the trailer lights use been that way from about 2003 till now the cars computer knows if bulbs using more power or none.
