I don't like asking questions like these but I haven't found anything online on how to work this out :/

 

The first question is: Fast acting fuse or slow fuse?

 

The type of load and how quickly you need the fuse to blow are factors in choosing the right fuse. Also, it matters whether you are protecting the load, or just preventing a fire.

 

Sorry guys I didn't know what to look out for. I'm hooking up some LEDs to a car's fuse box and didn't know what fuse to use it only seems to go 5, 10, 15 etc. All it says on the LEDs is: Input Voltage: 12v and Max Output: 6A. Is there nothing in this info that determines the fuse size? :/ thanks for help
