I have attached some pictures of a diode found in Charging Alternators.
I like to know what package is this.
This diode would be probably around 50Amps or above.

 

I don’t recognize it specifically, but it seems to be a variant of button diodes used in automotive applications. There are a variety of types based on manufacturers like Bosch and Motorola, but as i said, while that one has the features it is not familiar.

The generally look something like this one:

That one is almost certainly just one of the “standards”.

 

The diode I showed can be soldered on the plate. It's metal package like the press fit type but a little smaller

It’s not one I have seen before. I will be interested to see if someone recognizes it.

 

Where is Max....he might know this.

 

I have only come across the press fit versions in alternators I have worked on.
They come in either body polarity.

 

I like to know what package is this.

The general package is press fit.
