Hi everyone,
Hope you are all keeping safe.

I have a quick question and tried to find the answer but can’t seem to.
My question is......
What is the difference between a TD62783AFG and a TD62783AG?

I know the difference is a ‘F‘ but what does this mean in real terms?

I am using it for a VFD clock “Florescence“ made by the vfdcolective.
Here is the circuit diagram

Thanks hopefully for your answers.

Why are you asking? That part isn't used in the circuit.

You just need a device that expects to be driven with a 5V signal and can withstand 30V on the output.

EDIT: replaced color schematic.

Ah, well the part used on the schematic is indeed a UND2981LW, but the maker on the build sheet uses both chips as seen on this sheet. (Hopefull!)

I did email them and was told that the UND and the TD were both interchangeable.
Ordering the TD chip was easier than the UND chip for me in Ireland, but I received the AG version not the AFG version as used on the picture build of the board.
Hope that all makes sense?!
so the question still is, is there a difference between the TD62783AFG and the just AG one?
thanks dl324 for the reply though, and making me clarify what I meant!

TD62783AFG is an 8-channel high voltage source driver in SOP18 package.
TD62783APG is DIP18 package.

TD62783AF and TD62783AP are older markings.
I suspect TD62783AG is also an older marking of TD62783AF.

These are now all obsolete.

So if I read this right the TD62783AG, is a older version of the TD62783AFG, because they are both dip18.
yes? I hope it it!!
It was strange how much easier I found it to get the TD version seeing it’s obsolete, and it was so much cheaper than the UND version as well.
Thanks for your help.

Correction.
TD62783AFG is SMD SOP18 package, not DIP18.
TD62783APG is through-hole DIP18 package.

Absolutely right, posted them the wrong way around.
Thanks for the help guys, I can now do a bit of soldering in all this spare time I have!

If you find it really easy to find obsolete parts...they are probably Chinese junk.

You can still find some sellers that have obsolete parts, but they are far and few between...depending on the part, and are sold as "NOS".
