He's not entirely wrong.I said this once before, but…
It must be really scary to be you.
But, if you understand how things are actually manipulated, you can take advantage of it.

If it has the word quantum then you know it's likely woo of the BS type.Quantum mechanics uncovers hidden patterns in the stock market (msn.com)
Between the stock market, actuarial insurance, and setting the line in sports betting and fantasy football, AI has been at it for quite some time. There was a story back in the 80's about an AI startup company that received an anonymous customer's request to produce a custom AI program for them for predicting the winning team in professional sports teams play. They got it up to just above 50% correct but the customer was pushing for better than 80% accuracy. It was discovered that the customer was one of the major Las Vegas casinos and was being used to set the line in betting odds. Originally AI was conceived as an application for predicting and diagnosing mechanical failure plus preventative maintenance and repairs routines for large industrial machinery and transportation vehicles.
A shockingly obvious revelation the paper does nothing to solve but likely is very useful in predictions of the past.In a significant revelation, the study shows that economic uncertainty is the root cause of counter-cyclical herding behavior in stock returns.
So, same as rolling dice? They got it up to just above 50%...
IMO the definition of AI is in flux.because real AI doesn't exist yet.

My definition is like porn, I know it when I see it. I haven't seen AI yet. I've seen only at lot of hype and bs marketing on things we could build in the 60's if the computer technology existed then. I've no doubt that eventually we will make it, but that day is just not happening soon with LLMs or that type of stuff.IMO the definition of AI is in flux.
I know people that 40+ years ago were doing stock picking software with massive databases, that learned.
My friend Dave wrote programs for manicuring plants that kept track of the results and changed the formulas to get more accurate with each run.
I had a software that wrote programs that not only looked at production, but in-warranty returns and could product the likelihood of an infield failure of the next unite. That program lived and breathed and kept looking for more colorations.
A data base engine that leans and adapts is old hat. You cannot get funding for more of the same. Re-name it, AI and money falls out of the sky to the same programmers. New words gets you space on the news and money from venture capitalists.
I don't see a line in the sand where this is AI and that is not. It is a continuum of what we are doing and will continue to do.
What technology would you say (speculate) will eventually make true AI a reality?I've no doubt that eventually we will make it, but that day is just not happening soon with LLMs or that type of stuff.
No, idea. We are trying to recreate the gift of life in a machine. We exist, so we know it's possible but that doesn't help much. What technology would you say (speculate) will eventually make true AI a reality?

The dupes say:When we finally learn that we have been duped by the masters of the universe we will come to realise that money is an illusion.
.When we finally learn that we have been duped by the masters of the universe we will come to realise that money is an illusion.
Ok, Karl M. That's why in America we keep our guns as instruments of the dupes to keep our freedom from the ruling class.Laws, guns, and money are instruments of the ruling class to control society and the means of production.
This is the single most political statement anyone could make on this forum about anything.Laws, guns, and money are instruments of the ruling class to control society and the means of production.
