Hire an exterminator. Depending on regulations in your area, they'd set a trap or put out poison.

If you think it's a safety issue, you should be able to shoot it. Most counties in my area allow shotguns to be used where discharging other firearms would be prohibited.

What do I have to do with a weasel in my yard? It will really jeopardize my children.
I'm baffled by two things about your question. First, why are you worried about a small mammal in your yard? If you get rid of it, you'll just have mice and chipmunks instead. Second, why would you bother to join a forum devoted to electronic circuits to ask a pest control question?

Are you suggesting the TS was looking in the mirror when the TS saw the weasel? :)

Could use a pellet gun. That worked for me with stray dogs.

One of the neighbors used to have a dog that they let run loose and they knew he came in our yard and bothered our cats and chickens. He gave me permission to shoot him with a pellet gun; two pumps and don't shoot him in the face. The dog (a border collie) was just doing what they do and the owners were irresponsible, so I tolerated his antics as long as he wasn't hurting anything.

I had a least weasel in my yard a few years ago in the winter. In the spring I found a bunch of dead mice neatly arranged in a flow box that had been down on the ground with something over it.

I am reliably informed that if you have a weasel living in your walls you won't have mice living there, though the weasel can be a bit noisy.

Leave the weasel alone. Like most sensible things they don't like humans or children much. It won't hang around unless there is a source of food.
Teach the children not to try to feed it by hand. Don't leave cat or dog food out.
