I have 12 24 volt 20amp spms connect in series
I want to put a bypass diode on each terminal of the smps to protect them
Whats kind of diode do you recommend and what are the specifications

If one of the supplies shuts down (overcurrent perhaps) then the other supplies will drive current backwards into that shut down supply.

The diodes should be rated in excess (say 50%) of the supply output - >24V and >20A.
