so i have an icom ic-m88 handheld vhf radio that i use when working in the field. Currently, after extensive searching, i cant find a bluetooth setup that i want. I want to be able to use a wired mic( that will never be disconnected) and use a bluetooth headset when around loud machinery (on occasion). That way i dont need to use the headset all the time, and can just shut the headset off when not needed. Currently i need to keep disconnecting mic and connecting a headset the when im done around the macinery reverse the process.

Currently the only set ups i have found are completely wired headsets with a boom mic or a completely bluetooth set up that uses a bluetooth mic, which is no good because ill most likely loose the mic. Also my current wired mic does not have a 3.5 mm jack for a wire headset to plug in.

I was thinking of maybe...possibly...wiring in a bluetooth transmitter into the mic. One that would be on whenever the radio was turned on and then when i need to use my headset, turn it on and boom connected.

Only problem (and its a pretty substantial one), i have no idea how to wire a bluetooth or set one up or program one (if necessary). Ive done some searching and found topics of how to turn headsets into bluetooth and add receivers but not a whole lot about transmitters. Also the bluetooth chip needs to be pretty small to fit in the mic. I would like the sound to stop coming out of the mic when the bluetooth is connected but i really dont care if it doesnt. As long as i can listen through the headset (when connected) and as long as i can talk into the mic while using the headset, and then when the headset is disconnected and shut off, the radio works as originally intended.

Any help???
