I wish to build a SWR meter, 100 watts max, for a QRP Linear. I have tried a few but nothing works very well. I have a torrid with 10 turns center taped with the usual 1N34, filter cap, terminating resistor and meter etc. It drives the meter full scale without difficulty and seems to "set" perfectly but the reverse is bigger than the forward. I know that is not correct. Do you have a good schematic? The basis of my current schematic is out of the TenTec Century 21 book.
