So you don't know how cool the ending was ...No. I didn't watch.

Have you ever done it?
Not from a kayak but yes it's a blast when the bite is good on the charter boat or by the docks and piers.Have you ever done it?

Edit: looks really fun, not with a kayak.

Good Lord... they never knew the danger the were in!
That's cool.My son is at Cape Canaveral, Florida, at this moment to witness the launch today 8:30pm EDT of SpaceX-27 cargo mission to the International Space Station. He and his colleagues with him are super excited to be there because one of the cargo onboard this flight is a satellite they and a large team of university students designed and built to measure radiation levels in space. The CubeSat will be delivered to the ISS and will be deployed into orbit in a couple of months.

Working one summer in Big Bear CA. afternoons were often punctuated by thunderstorms. We had been digging a ditch by hand to run water, power and sewage for a building that was going to be built. To communicate with the lodge we used CB radio. The "AM" signal was punctuated with the hiss of nearby lightning. We'd count the seconds from the hiss to the crash of thunder. As a storm approached one of the guys said "If your hair stands on end get down into the ditch because lightning is about to strike very close." Not five minutes later we all experienced the "hair raising" event. We all jumped into the ditch. I swear I saw lightning exit one side of the ditch wall to the other side just a few feet from my face. A tree some 30 feet away was struck. More rational thinking about the event - I probably caught a glimpse of the lightning in my peripheral view as my eyes darted from side to side making it appear as though lightning passed some 24 inches away from my face. However, if that were the case I'd probably have heard the snap of the discharge in front of me. I don't recall such a snap, so it probably didn't happen the way I seem to remember it.
