Reading between the lines, are you telling us something, a lament, about Mexico? As a young man I was highly suspicious of authority and still am in some ways. But I’ve come to appreciate how important the rule of law is. It’s far from perfect but we have no better option. It’s a critical part of civil society. At least in Germany, they do...

I hope we aren't going to end up going down the same path. As a whole we've been pretty lucky until now.please, don't get me started... it's a great, beautiful country, filled with wonderful, noble people... that has always been governed by despots and fools... and still, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else... and trust me, I've been around
And I'm hoping this is not the end, and that things can still change for the better...I hope we aren't going to end up going down the same path.
VW is using sleight of hand with those stupid EV cars. The VW diesel emissions scandal contnues. The company agreed to spend $2 billion on green vehicles. First step, they are paying to air a cute advertisement featuring Fred Flintstone and George Jetson. Jetson is driving a Chevy Bolt and is obviously happier. Huh? See:

Odd sort of justice if you ask me.
"Further proceedings are open against 31 other suspects in Germany."Wonder how many others in the company knew about the fudging of the emission tests(?).
Had to be more than those four.
