Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to create a virtual HDMI input on my laptop via usb but the best I can find is this

I am not looking for amazing HD or anything it is for cable technicians to be able to set up a set top box with out a tv just navigating menus etc. And yes I have looked high and low for a mini monitor with HDMI and had no luck plus it needs to be battery powered. So I think trying to work with the virtual HDMI input on the laptop is the best way to go but does not seem like something that is commonly done etc.

Any thoughts, tips, suggestions, links etc would be great!!!

I think that is a video capture converter which only captures a single picture from the video.

How about one of these.
A search for "battery powered monitors with HDMI" may yield additional results.
