As a video, this isn't very good, but the content is excellent. If you are interested in "ancient" arts, you'll enjoy the tools and techniques here.

You can skip the first ~3 minutes, and mute until about 8:30 (unless you enjoy royalty free music loops).

I've sent a few odd ball milspec crt overlay touchscreen away to be rebuilt maybe 10 years ago but today I just reverse engineer the equipment touch protocol and use a 8-bit controller to translate so I can use a standard LCD touch screen for anything needing a replacement monitor.

They used a monster size CRT on the shelf in the original configuration.

Another model CRT to LCD retrofit.

CRT screen burns from 20 years of service.

What happens when your retro CRT touchscreen to LCD design is also obsolete? Design a new one with the latest controller and LCD technology.

PIC18F47Q43 controller with the current ELO industrial touch monitor.

PIC18F8722 original top, PIC18F47Q43 bottom.

Touch hot-spots in touch protocol converter software for video feed pass-through to display screen.
