I've sent a few odd ball milspec crt overlay touchscreen away to be rebuilt maybe 10 years ago but today I just reverse engineer the equipment touch protocol and use a 8-bit controller to translate so I can use a standard LCD touch screen for anything needing a replacement monitor.

They used a monster size CRT on the shelf in the original configuration.

What happens when your retro CRT touchscreen to LCD design is also obsolete? Design a new one with the latest controller and LCD technology.
