Ya it doesn't really make alot of sense. Honestly I haven't tried playing a video via flash drive in years. I'm doubtful that your going to get an answer given the information you've provided.

 

I think you are opting for "Video Files" and customised video formats. It will be quite confusing to select the settings.

Choose "TV Devices" and any of the TV models. In the basic settings, choose video size 1280 x 720. (They are by default 1980 x 1080, which your projector may not handle). Do not change any other setting.

The encoded video should be acceptable in your projector,

 

Try a program called MKVToolNix GUI; all it does is repackage files into the mkv container. It doesn't re-encode files, so conversion is very quick, and file sizes barely change at all. I also use it to strip or re-order audio or subtitle tracks, and sometimes to change the aspect ratio (though not all players support that).
It's not the most user-friendly program (though the GUI makes it easier to use than the command-line version).

The great VLC player can do an excellent job of conversion. Or just change the "container", which is referred to as "encapsulation".
Or the well known Handbrake.

 

I am pretty sure that VLC (Vidoe LAN Client) is what you are looking for.

Are you sure the projector won't play .VOB files?

I have the JimTab M18 Pro. Projector.
I put a lot of My DVDs into MPEG 4. Format and H264 CODEC.

720 X 80 at a Bit Rate of 1,500 kbps.
and I put them on a 256 GB Micro SD Card Class 10.
Then I put this into a Standard SD Card Adapter.

My Projector Says Un Supported File.

So I do everything the same but Make the Bit Rate 1,000 kbps.
My Projector still Says Un Supported File.

But if I Make the Bit Rate 512 kbps they all Play.

But this Bit Rate is way to Low for Me.
Can anybody help Me what is going on?

I have the JimTab M18 Pro. Projector and I just got this USB 3.0 Flash Drive 256 GB in Size.

I have Files on it and Pluged it into My Projectors USB Port.

I Select USB then Select Movies or Photos or anything and it will not Open the USB Flash Drive.

I did Try to Format it as NTFS and exFAT and the same thing.

Is this USB Flash Drive just for DeskTop Systems?

It can be other formats than the mentioned NTFS or exFAT.

I could not Copy the MediaInfo of the Videos to Upload.

But I Converted just 30 Movies to MP4. H264 at 720 X 480 Display Size.
I Set the Audio to Stereo.
And I Left the Frame Rate to Auto and Set the Video Bit Rate to 5,000 kbps.

Some Play and some do not.

I did just 30 Movies because I Thought maybe I was putting to many on the Micro SD Card.

But if I make the Video Bit Rate 512 kbps they all Play.

So You would Say this sounds like the Projector can not Read a High Bit Rate from the Micro SD Card.

But JimTab Tells Me the Projector should not be able to Play anything at 512 kbps it is to Low.

 

Ok I Think I am getting closer to why My Videos are not Playing Off of My SD Card in My Projector.

It May be My Program AnyVideoConverter.

I put all My Videos into the Converter and I am Trying AVI this Time.

I Still Pick the CODEC H264 but it was did Say 2. of them then it would Shut Down.

Is it because I have 2. Pass Encoding Enabled?

 

I just Un Installed AnyVideoConverter and Re Installed it.

Then I put back all My Settings and went to Convert some MKV Files to AVI Files.

It put the Output Folder on the DeskTop and Opens the Ad to Buy the Full Program.

So Closs it and it Looks like it may have Converted the Files.

So I Open the Output Folder on My DeskTop and noting is in it?

What is going on?

Now I Know AnyVideoConverter is not working on My Win10 System because I just Un Installed it and then had My System Restart.

Then I Re Installed AnyVideoConverter again.

It always worked can anybody help Me I Love this Program?

 

I just Installed Format Factory this is another Audio Video Converter and it works good.

So I Know I can just use this Program to Convert My Files.

But I do not like just going with another Program if the one I use Stops working.

I did Install the New Version of AnyVideoConverter and it Still does not work Right.

Is this Program not good with Win10 just Asking?
