Apparently, it took out all of Georgia and some of the surrounding states as well as most of the east coast and some of the west coast. Inland states were spotty here and there. Down here we say "you can't even get into heaven without going through Atlanta" as the fiber trunks do also. Still no word on why...

Aliens. Must be those little green men the government finally acknowledged. They must have tried to set up an account so they could phone home.

Oh, I'm pretty sure aliens were involved. Just not sure from which country this time. So many bad actors to choose from... From the lack of news, I suspect someone's trying to keep a lid on it. Sure shook plenty of folks up when their favorite toy quit connecting them to all their social media friends and family. The number of reports is down but there is still a lot of red on the map. Especially here in Georgia. Kinda makes me pine for the good ole Ma Bell days.

We just dropped Verizon which we have had since there was Verizon. Since we have spectrum cable we moved to Spectrum which so far is doing fine. With Verizon we had a line for my little mobile hotspot and the new phones have that feature built in. We also had two lines for the tablets which we never used. Verizon was great overall but I guess outages can just happen. Problem is when bad things happen as a result of hacking.

I can't remember what we had before, but we didn't have service at home, so we switched to Verizon. Still have the landline and local phone company also provides internet @~3Gb. Satellite for TV plus internet streaming.
