Hi what is the negative effects of using an audio ADC in sampling voltages in instrumentation use? I know it blocks low frequency like 10Hz but my application uses 100Hz to 10000Hz with input of microVolt. Can it somehow distort the voltage sampling of microvolt. Im using the E1DA Cosmos ADC that uses the following chip.

Obviously, you can only use it for AC signals and the bandwidth is limited to 20kHz.
The only drawback I can think of is in this line of the datasheet


What are the limits of error? 3.2V rms is typical, but minimum and maximum might be anywhere.

That's a nice price of gear. Yes, in the audio spectrum, the unprocessed output could be used just like a PC sound card can be used with limitations as a DAQ.
