Hey guys, does anyone know of a USB to serial/uart bridge (like the FT232RL) in a DIP package? I saw there was an old post about this back in 2009, but since it has been a few years since anyone responded to that thread, I figured I'd ask again as one might be on the market by now.
I need something I can play with on a breadboard while creating my circuit. I know they have breakout boards like http://www.sparkfun.com/products/199 but they're big, expensive, and have a lot more than I need (LEDs, etc).
