Hi all

I have a 5v usb fan that I need to come on for 30 seconds every 5 mins.

Can anyone suggest something affordable I can use to achieve this?

I've seen loads of little blue relay timers on eBay which on the face of it might work but the descriptions are fairly poorly translated so hard to be sure.

Any suggestions welcome.

What your application requires is called a "repeat cycle timer".
BUT you will not find a suitable timer with a USB connection. They simply do not belong together.

But I could strip the wires and provide power direct to the usb cable, or that being said, I could just run 5v to the fan and remove the usb, it's only two wires at the end of the day.

Are those little blue things that I mentioned the right things?

Hi oliver,
Welcome to AAC.
Those Amazon timer/relay modules would be suitable to switch the USB +5V supply to the Fan on a timed cycle.
