    Hello,

    How old is the battery?
It could well be that the battery has a higher internal resistance as before.

Reduce the load or use a bigger battery or one with a higher C rating than what you have.

    Hello,

As @tcmtech said, perhaps the battery is to small for what you using it for.
What are the specifications of the UPS and the used battery?

You can use a fan to cool it.

My car battery is getting so hot.
It is because I have a black car in the summer.
First we need to find out WHY your battery is hot.
Is it in a black car?
Is it supplying current to the inverter so it provides the output power?
Is it being charged instead of discharging?

It's so hot that the mosquitos are catching a thermal updraft over the battery and they don't have to flap their wings to stay aloft.

OOOpppps, this should have been posted in the How's The Weather thread. :p
