Dunno !
Just asking around if it is possible to take hex to program another chip.
If it can be done, may be get the hardware to do it.

I can deal with the cost.
Looking for a HW that can do this.
Any idea on the hardware.
It's a ARM chip , right ?

Again - if the chip is in a commercial product, it WILL have code protection switched on, and you are wasting your time.

Right now I have 3 units to fix.
2 of them had shorted uC. One is working.
Issue is there are couple of more on the way.
I can get the chip but the firmware is the issue.. So I was thinking out loud.
Extract the hex, program a new one and solder it.

OK so you have some boards that use the mentioned uC. Now if some board manufacturer used that uC and loaded a proprietary boot loader or other software routine there is no way you are going to be able to do this. I know of no way you can extract/download whatever is on your one working unit. Correction, no way I am aware of anyway. :(

I am willing to try, assuming there is no boot loader and not protected.
What HW am I looking for ?
