Hi

My PCB output a log on the UART ports.

At times, I need to debug the device out in the field and taking a laptop is something I prefer not to do.

Is there any device, which I can connect onto my Phone or IPAD, which then I can connect a USB UART port so I can view the UART logs on handheld device?

If your Android phone has USB OTG (On The Go), you can get an adapter cable with a USB Micro-B or USB C connector (as appropriate for the phone) to a USB A connector. (These are specifically called USB OTG cables.) Then you can connect many different USB devices; in this case a USB – UART Adapter. Then get a terminal emulator from the Google Play Store and you're all set.

Sorry, i found an app that verifies if the device is compatible. My device is compatible. .

Is there any recommended UART terminal emulator?

This is one I have used. The USB–UART chip used may make some difference in how well a particular app works.

I vaguely recall having to download a driver for the CH340 chip I like to use, but the details are lost in the fog
