Dear all,
the problem I was given was in German so I have translated it, should any of the technical terms be incorrect please let me know.
I have attempted to solve all parts of the problem and attached my answers below, however I was not sure how to calculate the total resistance of the circuit without knowing the inner structure of the two port network. I also have the sneaky suspicion that my calculation for V1 should involve the total resistance rather than just the input resistances. Could anyone give me a push in the right direction for the calculation of the total resistance?
P1V is the maximum power available, P1 is the power on the input side and P2 is the power on the output side.
The problem involves two kinds of attenuation that I have attempted to translate, I have also included the formulae for both types of attenuation in case my translation is inaccurate.
