@JoeJester - I watch the fluorescent light video. But, I just couldn't understand what Inductive kick is. Please explain.
Is the induced voltage in the opposite direction of the applied voltage? Always ?When a current flows in an inductor energy is stored in the form of the magnetic field. If you try to interrupt that current and the magnetic field begins to collapse that induces voltage into the inductor. The effect is that the inductor tries to keep the current flowing and it can produce alarmingly high voltages in that attempt.
