when i insert to calibrator 50Mohm i am Trying to measure 40 Ohm with DMM and the resistance not stabilizes

i need to measure it with long cable (2,5 meter)

what the solution in the case ?

Ideally for long cable and similar resistance conditions, a resistance Megger should be used.

Use a milliohm- meter or use a Constant Current source say 10mA, and read it off in voltage.
