I always have trouble with colors on my screen. My color perception is also not the best. But it doesn't look like 1MΩ to me.

This is an old thread. Going on 4 years old now. Perhaps you might want to start a thread of your own.

And Kamoliddin, welcome to AAC.

brown black green gold
Yeah, now that you identify it I can see it. Had to turn up the brightness on my screen and zoom in very close just to have enough light to detect the color. Brown (1) Black (one zero) Green (five more zero's) = 1,000,000Ω. Unfortunately for me green and brown are difficult to discern a difference. True Color Perception (TCP) for me is one weakness. To identify colors has always been a challenge. Using magnification and plenty of light I can get enough information to decide what the color is. Blue and purple is another weakness. I see the blue in "blue" and in "purple". To tell the difference I examine the blue and decide if there's any red in it. If there is red in it then it's purple. Weird, I know. But anyone who has TCP knows the challenges of color code identification.

That component doesn't look to be damaged. I'd take it out of circuit by desoldering one leg and then lifting it up out of the board, then measure the resistance.
R8 was not ok it must be 1MOm
How do you come to this determination? And I really recommend starting a new thread of your own.

How much voltage would it take to force excessive current through a one megohm resistor?? Even a 1/8 watt device? So it does not seem reasonable that it was overheated.

Has the TS returned with report of another failure?? I may have missed that.

Hello, my English not so good, only technical , the power supply was very simply only 15-20 components, i measured them with multimeter, after replacing r8 it works good and i was in hurry. I couldn't find and put there 2 parallel 2 MOm.

This thread started 9/18/2020. Last response by the original poster (OP) or TS (Thread Starter) was 10/9/2020.
It was reawakened 2/24/2023, then again re-reawakened 3/6/2024. It's been bouncing around a bit. Perhaps a moderator might want to break off the latest awakening into its own thread and lock the original thread so it doesn't garnish any further comments or questions.
