Hello. I am trying to implement a tri-state buffer on a bread board. Is there a 74 series IC that is a tristate buffer? How can I do this? Thank you very much.
Thanks for the info. Quick question though. What is the difference between these tri state buffers and the transmission gates that use n and pmos transistors to pass data through? I am talking specifically about the CD4016BE analog switches. Are they equivalent?
These tri-state buffers drive logic levels (low or high only) through when they drive. The CD4016 is an anlalog switch. It passes analog straight through.
