Tremor quantification via adxl345 accelerometer

Hi, I am using arduino uno with adxl345 to take the accelerations from the body and i have to convert it in the frequency to identify the type of the Tremor. I am stuck at a point of conversion.. Should i do FFT in Matlab for the conversion of accelerations in to frequency by interfacing Matlab with arduino or any thing else ??
Please help me out.
