Hello

I'm hoping to repair a power supply/ treadmill controller Johnson Fitness JDYF16PL Rev A board. There's a particular resistor that has burnt out and I'm unable to read the colour bands.

Is there any way to tell what should go there?

Also, whilst looking into it, I've noticed that new replacement boards seem to have a different set up at that component - it's the same revision board, but looks to be perhaps 4 resistors together wrapped in heat shrink? (like in this picture: https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/H20ab2ab2e47b49439bb6dbe6547c61274.jpg)

What would you suggest is the best way forward?

Thanks

The fact it is very close to the AC input implies it is part of the AC supply circuit, MOV's etc, a little reverse engineering of the circuit should be relatively simple.
One of the MOV's may have suffered, if connected to the offending resistor.
Max.

Thanks.
Yes, I'm planning on replacing the MOV and the 0.01μF cap behind it. Along with a few of the other nearby resistors.
Did you look at the pic from AliExpress? Do you think it is a few resistors together? Would make it produce less heat?

I worked out a 2W 220Ω should work at R2.
Waiting for the parts to arrive, hopefully it won't blow up again!
