Hello

I'm working on a project using a multi tap transformer. I want to control the taps using a traic. Assuming that I have taps on the primary side. How im gonna protect the triacs from the transformer inrush current ?
My first assumption was using a fuse but from my understanding when the inrush current occurs its gonna effect the triacs anyway.

Is there a circuit that I need to include like a snubber to the traics ? or
Should the current capacity of the traics be big enough to handle this inrush current ?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge and thanks in advance

Giving us no quantities at all to work with, we can't tell whether there is a simple device that can do this in one quick move or whether you're trying to power Cincinnati.
