@MisterBill2 I once thought of a system where the body of the car is energized. But if someone is pointing a gun at me the last thing I want to do is zap him with high voltage and make all his muscles clamp down, including the muscle controlling the trigger finger.

And yes, such discussions are prohibited. For good reason.

Since the secondary of most magnitron supply transformers has one end connected to the frame, the voltage multiplier options are a bit fewer. I have seen that when i powered up a non-loaded transformer something arced almost immediately. So probably improving the insulation would be a very first requirement. Some folks have claimed that such transformers can be used to power the higher powered tube-type RF amplifiers some hams use, but I am not sure that would actually work. The size is close to the same and so is the power level, but they are not built for continuous operation, I don't think. And all of them contain magnetic shunts, which alter the performance under load. I would find an explanation of that part quite interesting, since I think of a magnetron tube as being a fairly constant load. Evidently there is more to it than that.
