Multi-tap transformer out of a Sony stereo; model 1-431-655-11,
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/694480/Sony-Hcd-Grx5.html?page=69#manual
http://www.promelec.ru/UPLOAD/xml/scheme/HCD-GRX5_RX66.pdf (page 63)

Known voltages:
65 VAC w CT (approx. 18 gauge wire)
24 & 32 VAC Multi-Tap (approx. 20 gauge)
5 VAC (no taps) (approx. 22 gauge wire)

Looking for specs to tell me what the amperage capability is (or the VA for each section)

Anyone have a suggestion? Or an idea of the amperage based on these (guessed at) wire gauges? (I'm not bad with wire gauge but I wouldn't put money on it). Wire gauge COULD be as big as 16 gauge, but I lack even more confidence saying it's 16 gauge. It probably is closer to 18 gauge. Definitely larger than 20 gauge, but it's been a while since I worked with these gauges. And I can't take a measurement because the wires are encapsulated in epoxy. Just want an idea of how many amps (or watts (VA)) I can expect out of this transformer before I put it on to the parts shelf for later projects.

Couldn't find anything definitive on Google. Maybe someone knows a better source. At best I can get "T11" transformer. There's nothing else on the transformer other than 751022HD and TAM Malaysia UR M 9818
.
Thanks.

12.484 cubic inches.

Measures 2 x 2.5 x 3 overall size (minus) wire way area measuring 2 x 7/16 x 1-7/16 (times 2 wire ways)

15 cu in overall
2.516 inch wire ways
15 - 2.516 = 12.484 cubic inches of core.

4 pounds 11.2 ounces.

And I just got yelled at for using my wife's food scale.

Remember, there are three separate secondaries. One is center tapped and one is 3 tapped. Only one is a single solitary secondary (5 volts).

[edit] Now I gotta go make nicey with the wifey. See y'all tomorrow.

Sorry, forgot about primary resistance and wire size.
I'm trying to guesstimate turns.

That would roughly put it in the realm of 50va to 70va.
Max.

@321jay123 What are you trying to show me? Or are you advertising for someone? Your first link was blocked because it was trying to create an e-mail. The second link just takes you to a page where you can buy something. Sorry, not what I want. I just have this transformer on a board and am putting it into my stock cabinet for later use and I just want to know what I can expect from it. No sense in putting a 318 Diesel on a go-cart, nor is there any sense in putting a 3 hp Briggs & Stratton on a Cesna 175.
