test a complete board, that has different IC chips on them TTL and CMOS

Logic Gates
Clocks
Encoders
Decoders
Flip Flops
Counters
Shift Registers
Multiplexer
Demultiplexer

Thats why i'm trying to test each stage/section inputs and outputs to verify them

Dearie me, you need a tester. One outfit I worked for had custom logic boards with each installation. We had a tester that just ran a master clock and about 12 levels of frequencies derived from that. You just switched in the likely clock to the input and saw if the function worked.

Of course, you did have to look over the specific print and figure out what inputs would produce a predictable output, but it was the only way to check a board's functions.

What kind of tester? to test all of these INCIRCUIT?

Logic Gates
Clocks
Encoders
Decoders
Flip Flops
Counters
Shift Registers
Multiplexer
Demultiplexer

I need to test them all INCIRCUIT

Thats why i'm trying to just INJECT signals at the inputs and monitor the outputs

Seems like you need a generic automated tester.

You're not going to get that here.

You can buy them, but they're expensive, and they're not in-circuit either.

Better to figure out what inputs are proper, and what outputs are not proper - if you want to stay employed.

who makes these generic automated tester? what are they called please?

How would u guys test the inputs, outputs and other pins on these types of components INCIRCUIT?

Logic Gates
Clocks
Encoders
Decoders
Flip Flops
Counters
Shift Registers
Multiplexer
Demultiplexer

What would u guys do ?
