How do I set up the equation to find the total energy of a load that has an instantaneuos power that increases from 0 to 1kW over a period of 3 hours? I can calculate the definite integral, but I'm not sure how to set it up. Thanks.

If it's a linear rate of rise it will be quite simple - effectively the area of a triangle.
Thanks t_n_k. I was able to figure it out and that is what I found. The equation is W12 = ∫(1000/3)t dt bounded from 0 to 3. Simple. I just couldn't see the correlation at first.
