Considering they export all over the world and probably get a very small fraction of bottles returned, it must cost quite a bit more to bottle this brew.

Max.
Now I see what you mean, thanks. And yes, we do have Grolsch down here, too.

Question, is this real, or is it just publicity?:

Do you drink it alone, César? Maybe the type Captain Monasterio or Diego de la Vega use to drink when Zorro is not around, thus having time to relax...
I was the only one to drink it... everyone else were having beers and mixed drinks... but not me, no sir-ee ... I like to relaxingly have my Port after dinner... one delicious, slow sip at a time... :);)

A beer spiced with cocoa and a hint of red pepper... very interesting experience. With a roasted flavor, and a full body, almost like a porter. The cocoa gives it a coffee-like taste, and the pepper balances the aftertaste, dampening the in-your-face flavor that reminds me of Guinness beer.

The name is rather funny. It literally translates to "Do me a Russian"

I have 6 different champagnes in the house for taste-testing later. Here's to hoping I remember the winner tomorrow.
There is no winner and loser in Champaign - just different. If you include all sparkling wines, then there is some really bad stuff out there.

My "champagnes" are as bogus as your spelling. :p

I already know I love the real stuff and don't need taste-tests to prove it again to myself. My experiment is to see if there is a sparkling wine in the $10 (on sale) range that I can live with. Everything I've got for tonight is something I've had before but I can't recall having them side-by-side.

Even Cook's Brut Reserve, which I can find here for $4.99, is enjoyable for day-to-day use. So that's really the question: Is there something out there worth spending $10 on instead of just drinking the $5 Cook's?
