Anyone here familiar with this IC? This is a multiplexed 7 segment display driver IC that can drive directly common anode small LED display, My circuit is working just fine with small display. I wanted to use this IC to drive a bigger 5 inches common cathode LED display. The large display requires 15 -18 volts DC supply @ 20-40 ma per segment. I tried using optocoupler and transistor pair for the 7 segment drive as well as the common drive but having issues with it. Can anyone share info on how to do this. Thanks in advance.

Post a schematic of what you tried - it will be easier to have a schematic to work from.

Segment drive current isn't much different. Digit drive just needs to be increased. Maybe something like thus? There are chips that do such. I don't know what is available currently. Old .. UDN2986 or UDN2985
A datasheet in English would help. I found one in Chinese or Japanese, I can't tell one from the other.
