The right stuff - "beep beep" circuit

Hello,

New here and am trying to make a circuit that makes two single beeps when power is applied from a toogle switch, i.e. power on.

So to try and make it simple, after applying constant power the circuit should make a "beep beep" and thats it.

It needs to handle 24 volts and the beeps need to be heard clearly even it other sounds occur.

If anyone seen the movie The Right Stuff and the scene with the Starfighter F104 when he gets a flame out and the three indicator lights blinks twice and beeps when he tries to restart the engine, then there it is, those two beeps and the sound.

Do you require to emulate a particular “beep” sound? Or could it be a simple square wave driven piezo.

BTW; I love the movie. The way it recreates the breaking of the sound barrier without using CGI is simply amazing.

The movie is great yes and would love to have same sound as those two beeps in the cockpit when the engine cuts out in the F-104. Could you check the clip on Youtube? Its difficult to describe the sound :) The right stuff starfighter scene.

Then you will require a board that will play MP3 or WAV clips.
I have never used one, but an acquaintance once showed me a board he obtained in Aliexpress, which he used to play railroad sound effects. No external microcontroller required.

What do you guys think will be the best solution, buying and recording the right sound with V1053 audio Codec or building a board for the 400 Hz buzzer?

Its also for a 24 volts system.

"the best" depends on what is important to you. low power, low weight, low volume, low part count, zero assembly, easy to change to some other sound or beep pattern, sound volume, trigger type, trigger level, supply voltage (range?),...

here is an example of product that can play different sounds. adding switching regulator can make it work over wire range of voltage (24V included).

Would this work straight out the box so to speak?
Anything that requires configuring and loading the actual sound files will most likely not be a plug and play device.
Unfortunately I haven’t personally used one myself, so I cannot comment how difficult this would be.
The advantage over a hardware solution is that the available sounds and patterns are only limited by your imagination, and if you record the original sound, the resulting sounds will be identical replicas to the original.

You can make a simple circuit with 2 capacitors, a relay, a bridge and the right "beeper".

But I have no idea how patient you are working with breadboard to make something like this work, or what kind of compromise you are willing to make with the sound output.

With a micro and many of the sound modules you will probably also need a regulator and possibly an amp to get the volume level you want.

How can I replicate the sound of the Starfighters beep? Anyone have an idea what kind of device makrs that sound?

For those who want to watch the sound on youtube just check the link below The right stuff and starfighter scene and watch the part where he tries to restart the engine and the three indicator lights blinks with the two beeps I am after.

Actually the link takes you directly to the scene, thank you ya'akov, who sent it.
